This Dixon DDC Series stainless steel 316 dry quick disconnect hose coupler has a female NPT end, poppet-style valve, Viton seal, and connects a hose to a dry disconnect tank unit adapter. The female National Pipe Thread Taper (NPT) threaded end connects to male NPT-threaded connections. Anodized aluminum has greater strength and resistance to corrosion than stainless steel, and the Viton seal is used for a variety of chemicals and fuels and resistance to ozone and weathering. The poppet-style shut-off valve prevents fluid loss when disconnected, the conical valve seat reduces the risk of piston blowout, and a PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) bearing between the piston shaft and guide reduces the risk of seizure. Open and close operation is push/pull and turn, and the valve cannot be opened until the unit is coupled. Wetted stainless steel parts resist corrosion and scaling. This hose unit's maximum working pressure (MWP) is 360 pounds per square inch (psi) (24.49 bar). It conforms to STANAG 3756 and ATOFINA SGM 2049.TUY.C specifications for facilities and equipment used for receipt and delivery of fuel to prevent fuel spillage on connection and disconnection.
